1. Who we are
Tabindah is a digital memorial platform built and operated by Ahmed Hassan. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our website at tabindah.com and any related services.
2. Information we collect
Your name, city, and tribute text when you leave a tribute. Your name and comment text when you leave a comment. Memorial name, dates, biography, and photos when you submit a memorial profile. We also store a hashed (non-reversible) version of your IP address for rate-limiting and view counting β the raw IP is never stored.
3. How we use your information
To publish and display approved memorial profiles and tributes. To moderate content and prevent abuse. To display view counts and reaction totals. We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
4. Photographs and videos
Media files you upload are stored securely and served only through our platform. By uploading media you confirm you have the right to share it.
5. Data retention
Memorial profiles and approved tributes are kept for as long as the memorial remains active. Contact us to request removal and we will process your request within 14 days.
6. Third-party services
MongoDB Atlas β our database provider. Google Translate β used when you click "Translate to English"; the tribute text is sent to Google's servers for that purpose only.
7. Cookies
We use a session cookie solely for administrator authentication. No tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies are used.
8. Your rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Please contact us using the details in the footer.
